Hebrews Chapter 4

Welcome back, and God bless you!  We are in Hebrews, chapter 4. Hope you have been following along. Let’s jump right in!  We see that after God made the heavens and the earth, he rested on the seventh day. Now, He is saying WE can “rest” in Him! Wow, cool huh! We can enter into that rest, too (a time of completion). Take a deep breath, and breath out,knowing you can leave it all at the altar, and rest in God. But, remember, it says in verse 3, that”for we which have BELIEVED” do enter into rest”. Yes, you have to believe. We are reminded again in verse 7, not to HARDEN our hearts. Let’s not be passive in our Christian walk, sister or brother.  We must labor into that rest. We must believe, and keep on going! Keep having faith.

This reminds me of a recent event in my life that seemed like being a Christian wouldn’t help. Fear was present, a sense of hopelessness reared its ugly head. Confusion invited itself in. So much pain and strife around. But….God…yes with faith, He said, “Come out of this, and rest”.  Believe me, the problem didn’t disappear, only the way I approached it. God gave me peace and led me to have a soft answer, as well as complete silence. I walked away from the unrest, and my husband and I prayed in another room away from the stress. We agreed together and asked others to agree as well. We laid hands on something connected to it and prayed. We rebuked, then invited peace and comfort. Then we ask that the only spirit to be present was the Holy Spirit! Things calmed down in the whirlwind of fear,hopelessness,and helplessness. Peace was there, at least for that day! Praise God! Yes, fear wouldn’t give up,it tried to stay longer than any of them,but it was recognized and rebuked again! Ha!

The good news is that Jesus has prepared a place for us in Heaven.(St. John 14:1-3).  God knows our heart,we are like an open book to him. Nothing you say or do will surprise Him. No sin is too great for Him to forgive. So believe, and hold fast to your profession of faith, in the work Jesus Christ did on the cross. Why? Because He is our Priest who has passed into the heavens!   Please read all of chapter 4, with me. Look at verse 15, it says Jesus understands what you are going through because He was tempted as we are. He never sinned but, was made sin for us on the cross.  Verse 16, Praise God,says now we can enter the throne of grace with confidence, and boldness, as we stand before God our Father, clothed in righteousness (not ours, but Jesus’s).  Won’t you come to the throne of grace?        God has given us everything we need. It was all completed on the cross through Jesus Christ. We just have to claim it!  Take care until next time! God richly bless you and protect you.

Old Covenant Verses New Covenant 3

   Welcome back! Hope you have read over Hebrews, chapter 3. Let’s take a look at it!  Let me ask you a question: Would you like to enter into God’s rest?  In chapter 3 it tells us “not” to harden our heart. Wouldn’t you like to be a partaker of Christ? A Coheir with Christ?  Here are some points to think about.

1)  The Bible says the deceitfulness of sin will cause you to harden your heart.                                                                  

2)   In verse 12, it says: “Take heed, Brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief,in departing from the living God.

3)   We are also encouraged to exhort, (lift one another up) TODAY, more than ever!  We need to support one another!                                    

4)    We need to encourage, cheer on, one another while it is day!                                                                                                                

   We also learn in chapter 3, that Jesus is superior to Moses. Did you know we are” holy brethren”? We are also partakers of the heavenly calling.   Jesus Christ is the Apostle, and High Priest, of our profession (Of faith-salvation).    

  We also read that we shouldn’t be like some of the Israelites that came out of Egypt, and died in the wilderness, because of unbelief. Please read the last two verses, 18 and 19.  Please enter into God’s rest and BELIEVE!  Come up higher and be a child of the King!          

  Join me next time as we study Hebrews, chapter 4.  Also, please read the first several verses in chapt. 3.  It talks about Christ being over His own house which we are. Old Covenant Verses New Covenant 2

Hello again!  I hope you have been studying the book of Hebrews this week, so you can join me today as we look at Hebrews chapter two.   In Hebrews 2:9,  it says “But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.”  (Taken from the KJV).  Wow! Here we see Jesus is made LOWER than the ANGELS, for the reason to suffer death, taste death, for EVERY MAN (mankind).  He died on the cross for WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH!  He died for my sins and yours! Cool huh!                                                                             In verse 11, it says He calls us Brethren   In verse 14…..that through death (dying on the cross) he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil. Verse 15….And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.  You know we don’t have to fear death, we can know we will go to Heaven and see Jesus our Savior. Yes, you can know for sure, by accepting Him as your Lord and Savior. Ask Him to come into your life.  Please read my blog “Did You Know”.                                                                    When Jesus died on the cross, he did not take on the nature of angels.  He took on Him the seed of Abraham.  He was like us, so He might be a merciful and faithful HIGH PRIEST in things that had to do with GOD. To…also make reconciliation for the sins of the people       You see, in the Old Testament (old covenant), before Jesus came to earth and died on the cross, the High Priest had to go ONCE  A YEAR , on THE DAY OF ATONEMENT and sacrifice certain animals for the sins of the people, and for himself.    But, when Jesus came, He was sacrificed ONCE on the cross (as a lamb-spotless), for our sins. So, HE became OUR “HIGH PRIEST”.  He makes intercession for us in Heaven to the FATHER.  Jesus sits at the RIGHT HAND of GOD.   So…….their is no more need for a High Priest to sacrifice animals once a year, on the Day of Atonement.  We can be atoned for our sins through Jesus Christ’s sacrifice (one time). God has always needed a blood sacrifice (read Hebrews 9:22 about that). The blood of Jesus has covered our sins. He died in our place on the cross. Then He rose from the dead on the third day!! Yaaaaaah!!   Thank you, Jesus!   But, remember this is a GIFT from GOD.  He made a way for our SALVATION. But….with any gift, you have to receive it!                                                                                                                                                                    Ask Jesus now, to forgive you of your sins, and that you accept His sacrifice on the cross. Also, that you believe in your heart, He died and rose again. Confess with your mouth, He is Lord!    Ask Him to come into your life.  Don’t worry, you can come as you are, you don’t have to wait till you are perfect and clean.  He will wash you with His blood and cleanse you from all unrighteousness!  Please join me for chapter 3 of Hebrews next time! The Old Covenant Verses The New Covenant

• Hello, and welcome back!  I am so excited to talk to you more, about Jesus Christ!  I would like you to study with me, the book of Hebrews. Most people think of Hebrews 11, ” The Hall Of Faith”, where example, after example is written of men, and women who had faith. But, today we will look at the old and new covenant. First, let’s begin by reading Hebrews chapter 1. In the “temporal” or old covenant, God, in times past spoke through the Prophets.  In these last days, he speaks through Jesus Christ (A new and superior covenant).                                                                                                                                                                         Let’s take a look at Jesus:
• He is the only one that can purge  (cleanse, get rid of) our sins (through His blood on the cross).
• He is the only one that has sat down at the right hand of God (After His work was finished on the cross).
•  Jesus is even better than the angels.
• He is described as ‘God the Father’s begotten Son”.
• In verse 6, Jesus is also described as “The first begotten”, being someone that was worshiped by ANGELS!
• In verse 7, we see that angels are different.  They are MINISTERING SPIRITS. In verses 8-12, Jesus is compared to angels, in that, God has never told angels to “Sit on His right hand, until He makes their enemies their foot stool”.   BUT, He HAS told Jesus this.    Let’s look at verse 14, which says angels are ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation!    Exciting isn’t it!  So, if we just stopped at chapter ONE in HEBREWS, we would have learned a lot of important information so far!   We learned WHO Jesus is (His importance), especially when comparing Him to “The Prophets in old times”, and “To Angels”.

Did You Know……

Hi!   Welcome everyone and God bless you abundantly!  Did you know that God loves YOU!   He sent His Son Jesus to die for your sins.  In the Bible, John 3:16 says; ” For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotton son that whosover believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.”       Whosoever means you!  He extended his GRACE (kindness, unmerited favor) to you!   God will draw you unto himself through Jesus Christ-through his sacrifice on the cross.  So…what is your part in this , after he extends his grace and gift of salvation (through Jesus Christ)?     We are to recieve this gift through placing our faith and trust in Jesus Christ.    But, how…. do we do this you ask.??     By beleiving that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died on the cross for your sins.    He paid the final and ultimate price, one time for you.    Believe he rose from the dead to give you life, life in and through him…….make him Lord of your life.     BELIEVE and put your trust and faith in him.       Just think,  you can know God hears your prayers because,  Jesus is NOW at the right hand of God our Father, making intercession for us.  You will know you are a CHILD of GOD by your spirit bearing wittness with his spirit.     God is a SPIRIT and He Is LOVE!  WoW!  Cool, huh.     If you have believed as I said above….in your heart and confessed Jesus is Lord with your mouth….He is the way to Salvation, then you have been born AGAIN!     You are brand new spiritually.     You have been sealed with the HOLY SPIRIT!    You may say, who is the Holy Spirit?     Well….after Jesus Christ died on the cross, and rose from the dead, he said that he had to go but would send us a COMFORTER-The Holy Spirit.    He would lead us unto all truth…convict us (not condemn) guide us and so much more!      God really loves YOU!!    He extends HIS INVITATION to YOU right NOW—for today is the day of salvation—don’t put it off.     For you have a enemy called satan, who wants to keep you away from God your Father.    We are made in God’s image and he hates us, he is the father of LIES!      Become a child of God where  now you can cry ABBA, FATHER!  Even Dad.     He is waiting to wrap his arms around YOU.  He made you, he is your creater….he loves you…he knew you in your Mother’s womb.     May God bless you!     Let me know how this has touched you….thanks for reading!      In Christ,  Ann

 

What You Say or Don’t Say is What We Get……

Hello everyone!  Welcome back to the world of handwriting analysis!  Today we are going to take a look at your lower case letters, ‘a’ and ‘o’.  These letters tell us how you ‘communicate’.  

The Webster dictionary says to communicate is to convey knowledge or info about; make known (to share).  In other words when you communicate you are impacting or bestowing–revealing and sharing with others. We are looking at the verbal way of communicating.

So, with this in mind, let’s take a look at your a’s and o’s.  Are they open? Do they have lines through them or loops? Let’s take a look at the examples below and see if you can spot your communication letters!

Let’s look at the first line of a’s and o’s where there are no lines, or loops inside the round area. This writer will be honest, and frank in communicating.

The second set shows loops in the right, and left side of our lower case a and o. This person will definitely tell a little white lie. If the inner loops are large and cross a lot we can say this person lies pathologically.

The next set shows a circle on the right side. This writer is secretive, not in a bad way, just doesn’t tell their whole life story! The bigger the loop, the less you will get a complete answer from this person.

The fourth set shows the inner loop on the left side. It’s like someone drew a line through our a and o. This writer is deceiving himself. He is not facing some unpleasant realities in his life, and doesn’t even realize it.

Next, is our talkative writer. He has no problem communicating verbally. If the a’s and o’s are open wide, you can be sure it will be hard to get away from their chatter!

Let’s look at the opposite of our talker. The a’s and o’s sealed. This writer is not inclined to talk so freely. He is quiet, withholding information until someone asks him a question.

Our last set shows evasiveness. You can see the double-hooks in our example above. These writers will intentionally be vague, not giving a straightforward answer.

So, as you can see we communicate differently with each other. 

However you communicate, remember “Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.” Proverbs 16:24       Until next time…….God bless you…… Ann

 

Organizational Ability-to be or not to be

Hi everyone!   Welcome back to the world of handwriting analysis.   So, have you asked yourself these questions a lot; “Where is it? or where did I put it?”  Do you frantically hunt through papers for that ‘bill’ you misplaced?  Perhaps then, you lack the ability to be organized.

In handwriting, the letter ‘F’ reveals a lot about your ability to be organized or not. (lower case)  Let’s take a look at some below:

In the first ‘F’, a simple line shows upper and lower balance.  This writer can maintain order.  Ask her to sort through papers, and then file them, and she has no problem.  She would make a good Secretary.

So, I hear some of you saying  “Well I have that ‘F’ except with a loop on top.”  This causes an imbalance in your ‘F’.  When you see a loop, you see an indication of imagination.  Sure you have the imagination to devise methods or plans.   But, may not know how to put them into action; no loop on bottom-no imagination in that area. 

Now for those who say”Well I have imagination on the bottom part of my ‘F’. But no loop on top! ugg! What does that mean?”  Don’t worry you are able to coordinate people and materials with no problem.  If your Boss has the plan, you can organize and carry it out.  Your imagination is in the action area.

So, can you guess what kind of organizational ability you would have if your ‘F’ is balanced with a loop on top and bottom?  You got it!  You are organized  in making plans, having ideas, and then carrying them out.

The last ‘F’ is unusual.  It has a loop up top and bottom, but going in different directions. This ‘F’ shows an extra trait called “Fluidity of Thought”.  This person will go from one thought to another .  His thinking and speech will flow easily and smoothly.  You will also see this trait in the letter “g”.  It looks like the number “8”.  Some writers may even connect words together as they think rapidly.

“Desire For order” is also kin to “Organizational Ability”.  You will see the traits of dignity and rhythm go hand in hand. Also, there will be no other handwriting strokes going into the lines of writing below. They like order, not disorder and confusion.  Don’t ask them to do something at the drop of a hat. They won’t have too many ‘irons in the fire’.

Large or Small Handwriting?

Hi everyone!

I hope you read the previous blog. If you haven’t, please go back and read it, so that you can join us in learning about your level of concentration!

  I hope you practiced writing small and so on. Did you come to any conclusions about the ‘size’ of your handwriting? I hope you will leave me a comment and let me know!   Here are more samples of large, and small handwriting as well as medium:

If your handwriting falls in the small category, you have the ability to center attention, to the exclusion of other interest (very good concentration).

The standard height of ‘small’ handwriting is one-sixteenth of an inch-very small. This intense concentration will effect all other traits in handwriting.  Got a temper? The intensity of that temper will be greater. 

This writer will stay focused on the project at hand. He can shut out the world and concentrate on his work. This kind of writer will not have a wondering mind.

He will come off as very reserved, quiet, not liking a lot of attention on himself.  You can count on him to do well under pressure, and he will be sure to pay attention to details.

They may seem non-social, and can stay quite busy alone.  So, the very small writer is interesting, a little misunderstood, but usually very focused, and intelligent.

On the other hand…if you have large handwriting, you are a lot more social, and your attentions will be more scattered to many things. Why have one project when you can have 5 going at one time!

This writer likes to be around people, and likes attention. They really need to be appreciated, and loved by other people. They don’t feel comfortable alone.

This person would hate a desk job, he likes to interact with others. These people don’t worry about the small stuff, they just go on to something else. Don’t ignore them-just love them!

Unfortunately, they have scattered energies in all directions, which makes it harder for them to concentrate on one thing at a time. (if you are an emotional person-you will need to ‘waste’ some energy by letting off steam-concentration wouldn’t help here.)

  So the larger writer will have many interests, which can make for an interesting person.

The medium writer I guess you would say, has the best of both worlds in a way. He can give a little more attention,but not intensely.

How is Your Concentration?

Hello,and welcome back!

  It seems I have been gone so long!  I have been thinking lately about our different levels of concentration.   Concentration,  as in the ability to center attention to the exclusion of other interest. Let me ask you a couple questions.  Do you find yourself very focused on a project, or do you get easily distracted?  Oh I don’t mean just getting too busy to start or finish one.  I mean trying to focus on something, and finding your mind wandering, or easily distracted by the t.v. or another person. Or…maybe you feel your energies are scattered in all directions. What about people who are so intense on concentrating on something, that you want to say HEY look at me! Ha! Sounds like some husbands and wives I know!  But, I won’t go there because we are all different, maybe just a tad misunderstood :)……so, you are wondering, where is she going with this?  I am leading into handwriting of course.  Speaking of handwriting, lets look at some below:

You will notice, that the top sentence of handwriting is larger than the bottom.  Do you recognize your size handwriting, or that of your Spouse, or other family member?  Let’s experiment.  Write a few sentences on lined paper.  Can you tell if your writing is large, medium or small?   Now see how small you can write a sentence.  Did you have to concentrate harder?  Can you imagine yourself writing very small all the time?  Try to write very large, and then medium.  Which one feels more comfortable?   In my next blog I will be explaining what the difference is, in handwriting analysis. How are You Thinking? Part 2

Hi! Welcome back!  I hope you have been looking closer at your m’s, n’s and h’s and even your r’s.  In my last blog I described the methodical/cumulative thinker.  Today let’s look at several other thinking patterns:  investigative thinker, analytical thinker, exploratory thinker and the keen comprehensive thinker.  Don’t be surprised if you have two or more ways of thinking.
As for me, I seem to be always investigating facts, and then analyzing everything. So I find myself always thinking, thinking,thinking!  Eeek!  It can drive you crazy-ha!  Sometimes it would be nice if I could just gather known info, and leave it at that.  Instead I have to investigate something for myself (not that I don’t believe you-it’s just my nature),and if that wasn’t enough I start breaking down the info till I have picked it to death! ha!  Sound like you?

If so, you have the inverted “v” format in letters like the m and n.  This indicates an investigative mind. You have to search, and probe for facts, wanting to find out things for yourself!  If someone tells you something is blue, you will look closer-investigating to see if it really is blue.

If you also see a “v” format, you are an analytical thinker.  You will go a step further, and take info you have gained, and sift, weigh, and really evaluate it’s worth.  Breaking down, and analyzing what you have found.

Do you like to search out info in the unknown?  Things that are very far from everyday occurrences? Perhaps you are an exploratory thinker!

Does it seem like you can pick up info out of the air? Do you have a fast mind? Does thinking seem effortless? Can you size up a room full of people rather quickly? Someone may be trying to explain something to you, and you feel like you have already “got it”.  Then you may be a keen comprehensive thinker.  This is shown by the needle-like points seen mostly in the m and n’s. The down fall in this type of thinking, are impressions that are too quick, resulting in quick judgements.  Other mental processes are needed to evaluate info picked up this quick.

In the diagram above you see examples of the different thinking patterns.  No. 1 shows our investigative thinker with some analytical ability.  No. 2 has exploratory thinking.  No. 3 shows a methodical thinker and if we were to add some “v” formations we would have a writer that will build there facts one by one and then analyze what he has found.  No. 4 shows our keen comprehensive writer picking up info rather quickly, but with some investigative inverted “v”s we see he will check on this info a little further, even analyzing some facts (“v” formation).  In the word “Germany” we see a pointed “r” (keen comprehension) and some methodical/cumulative “m”s. He will pick up fast on some info while accumulating others.  How about no. 5, he likes to explore! Try bringing him down to earth!

Soooooo, what methods of thinking do you employ?  How do you attempt to solve a problem?  What is your dominate thinking patterns?  Now, do you see how people could misunderstand each other, and have problems communicating?  Just think…thinking patterns are only one part of our overall personality!

So, remember this; the methodical/cumulative thinker will seem slow, and boring to someone with faster thinking like the keen comprehensive thinker, but be patient.  Our methodical/cumulative thinker just wants facts, not the analytical thinkers break-down of everything!  My husband will ask me about something, and before he knows it, he will get more info than he needs.  Perhaps you see these differences in your relationships.  Please don’t feel like the investigative thinker doesn’t believe you if he wants to dig a little deeper for info.  Be patient with the very analytical thinker, you may need their analytical ability one day.   Be glad the keen comprehensive thinker can understand your jabber with hardly any effort.   Oh, and don’t forget the exploratory thinker who may be your preacher or an astronaut!
